Attracting Qualified Candidates from Outside the State as well as Inside the State

This year, our Annual JobsInCT.com Survey, showed us that:

  • Many of the registered Job Seekers on the site reside outside of the state of Connecticut

What this means is that, unlike other national job boards and smaller local sites, the state-specific model of JobsInCT.com attracts candidates who have a specific need or desire to work in Connecticut.  Since only real, Connecticut-based jobs are posted on this site, our customers get the benefit of the global reach of the Internet to connect with qualified candidates from  across town, across the state or across the country who want to work in Connecticut.

  • Over 33% of candidates using JobsInCT.com identify themselves as “fully employed”*

These “passive job seekers” are ambitious, proactive and quality employees who are currently working, but keeping an eye on the market for more challenging career opportunities.

We asked job seekers to tell us who they consider their #1 job search resource.*  The top five results were:

  • JobsInCT.com with 20.50% (Top Answer in Category)
  • Career Builder (17.54%)
  • Local Newspaper (16.86%)
  • Monster (11.85%)
  • HotJobs (5.24%)

Finally, when asked how Job Seekers first found JobsInCT.com, the top 4 results were:

  • Web Search Engine (such as Google) – 24.47%
  • Journal Register Newspaper Ad – 25.35%
  • Television Ad – 24.65%
  • Word of Mouth – 7.27%

As an online company, we recognize the importance of Search Engine Optimization.  We have designed our website surrounding the most important and commonly used job search criteria, such as location and job category, in order to both elevate our position on search engine results, thus driving more eyeballs and better qualified candidates to our customers job postings.

These points are just a few of the important reasons why job seekers, both in state and from away, are using JobsInCT.com over our national and local competitors.
